Team Associated | TC8 New Generation Electric Touring Car

Team Associated has officially launched the new generation 1/10 competition electric touring car, RC10TC8. The promotional images feature the iconic "Masami colours" of Masami Hirosaka on the TC8's body.

Masami Hirosaka, a multiple-time IFMAR World Champion and legendary figure in the RC world, joined Team Associated's product development advisory committee earlier this year. Alongside fellow IFMAR World Champions Jay Halsey and Cliff Lett, they form a legendary team poised to lead the future development of RC performance in unprecedented ways. The TC8 electric touring car is the first collaboration between Masami and AE.

After releasing the TC7.2 touring car in 2020, AE halted the production of touring car chassis. This time, by forming the IFMAR World Champion legendary team and reviving its touring car series, AE is expected to make waves in the touring car community, generating much anticipation for the TC8's design and performance!

The TC8 features a new suspension geometry design, setting a new benchmark in on-road racing performance. Whether conquering every lap on high-grip tracks with a low-centre-of-gravity steel chassis or enhancing agility on low-grip surfaces with the TC8 Graphite-Spec carbon fibre chassis, the TC8 provides a strong foundation for victory.

AE's RC10TC8 is newly crafted from scratch, aiming to dominate the increasingly competitive electric touring car arena. Engineers at Area-51 have pushed technological boundaries, integrating groundbreaking designs and refined details into the chassis. Long-arm pivot ball suspension design, precise weight distribution, and ultra-low centre of gravity together create a solid yet highly responsive touring car. This embodies the core vision of the TC8, offering unprecedented tuning potential.

Every component works in harmony from high-capacity differentials to ultra-short stroke shock absorbers. The integrated servo mount and steering link assembly deliver laser-like precision control, while adjustable KPI (kingpin inclination) ensures optimal driving connection under various track conditions. It offers the performance needed to win, while also considering durability, maintenance convenience, and cost-effectiveness. Expected to be released in May 2025.
